- Ryan's band brakes up, so him and Ian decide to start a band. - Ryan, Liza and Ian create Street Urchins. - Strret Urchins is a band already, so they become Skumbags and draft Ruben on bass. - Skumbags is already a band, so they change it to Skaumbags with hopes of still bieng a ska band. - They can't find a trumpet player and Liza starts signing shitty. - Name is changed to The Rip - Offs, which pisses off Liza, who wanted to name it after a poem. - After Ruben and Ryan talk, Ruben kicks Liza out of the band. We later found out that The Rip - Offs was an already taken and so read thisdown here

Me and my two friends are in a band and we would like to be called the rip-offs, see with a dash between rip and offs. So we wanted to know if you would be angered if we named ourselves The Rip-Offs and not The Rip Offs? there has been numerous bands called the rip offs over the years. fortunately, or unfortunately for you the rip offs have is the largest selling record on the label and still sells extremely well today. in fact the label and the band started at the same time because i liked that name. rip off records, rip offs... if you look up the rip offs and punk you can see most searches come back to the rip offs. the band is considered legendary in punk rock circles,  and most people think of the rip offs, and know of us.  other bands tried the name, and realized from insane fans that it was not a good idea to use that name. you can do what you want, the name is not copyrighted, the songs are. i am just warning you now, that i think it would be a mistake. other bands that were the rip offs changed their name volunatarily, as rip off fans harassed them and let them know about it.
but once again, the band name name is not copyrighted, so you can do what you want. but there are many band names out there, and i would try a different one or a combination of the rip offs...there has been about 5 bands in the past besides us called the rip offs, but we are the most famous, and do you really want a start a band with a band name that is already considered somewhat famous? o.k. enough of it good luck with whatever you do

we called ourself the draft for a couple days. we decide it is a horrible name, so we decided on the tics which isnt any better. december 2004 Live At Ryan's is released. december 2004/january 2005, Cum In Your Face Action decides to drop in. FIRST OUT OF TOWN SHOW - July 22nd 2005 sierra vista at the v.f.w. October 2005, we picked up Bobby Sidwell on second guitar for the short length of 2 shows, too bad, we kicked ass with him on board. March 2006, SNAGGLECLIT releases a huge dump on the world! May 2006 Rick joins the tics on guitar and vocals, he holds a profession in power stance/metal guitar posing. June 2007 Time To Rip! is released! July 2007 frist show(s) out of state on our Axle's Of Evil Tour 2007 to California along w/ Hot Trash. September 2007 Bobby returns as second guitarist.

For the record, the "teens" had between 1-4 charges each, and the state (not city) dropped charges after dragging it out for 3 months. I pay taxes to keep this court system nice and speedy and it's just the opposite. Dumb and slow like Cowboy George.
